Courtlands Road Eastbourne – as a long-standing client of Anton Bree the owner of the ESK site in Courtlands Road initially approached us to discuss options for sale of the site and retirement. After a variety of initial valuations, it was agreed that a redevelopment of the site for residential use would be the favoured option and achieve maximum value.
Initial work involved a pre-planning application meeting with the council and a variety of proposals were suggested, discussed. It was agreed that a mixture of residential houses and flats and a commercial unit for a local store would be appropriate.
Working closely with Cath Prenton MRICS and a team of other professionals including architects, civil engineers, ecologists, arboriculturists, geo technicians as well as transport and infrastructure consultants an application was submitted and finally approved for 136 residential units plus a 3000 square-foot local food store.
The site was then extensively marketed and after a couple of false starts a sale was agreed and the matter is currently with solicitors with an anticipated exchange in the near future.
